A Visit from NANA!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM!!
My mom came to visit a couple weeks ago and we loved having a girls weekend together. The weather was rainy so Hailey and my mom got their toes glittered. OH SO PRETTY!!!
We also went to a boutique and then to the Hannah Montana movie.

We thought the movie was so cute! We now own the CD and Hailey is learning the line dance to Hoe Down Throw Down.

Good Times!

While we were at the movies, Mike and Bob took the boys to the motorcross races. Now Carter wants to race motorcycles and play with his new best friend...Zack.

A fun weekend had by all!

We want the sun back!

Last week the temperature was 80 degrees and beautiful. Now it's back down to 60 and were missing the sun. Since we did have a couple of days of nice weather I thought it would be fun for us to take Ty to the groomers on our bikes. Once I got everything ready to go and I was already pooped. Hook the bike trailer up to my bike, pump up the tires, grab everyones helmet, get the dog, the leash, my sunglasses, oh ya I need my purse. PHEW is that it.
While we waited for Ty, we rode our bikes over to the Maverik, got a slurpie and then went to the park to play. After all, we were riding our bikes and getting some excercise so it is OK to get full on candy right?

This is a picture of Hailey on a building at Daybreak. She was playing with her friend at the park and got her picture taken and now it's posted on the building. :) It's kind of hard to see. The sun has to be shining right through the building. Her friends sister is in the front and Hailey is in the back. We think that's cool.

Here is the new ROPE park at Daybreak. The kids had a blast. I get a little nervous, because Carter tries to keep up with the big kids and climb to the top. This is why we want the sun back! The kids can't wait to go back. There is a little beach to play on and docks you can sit on and dangle your feet in the water. Makes me miss Bear Lake.

Not another Birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to the best dad and husband
in the MILKY WAY!!

The kids had a really great time making Mike a candy bar poster.
I hope you can read it. It turned out really cute!

Since the kids are off track, we decided to be sneaky and head down to Mikes work and trash his car. We had a great time.

Mike decided to take 1/2 day off work, which made us all very happy. When he got home he opened presents and then we had a delicious BBQ with his parents.

Thanks to everyone for the phone calls and bday wishes!
Happy Birthday Hon! We Love You!!

Scouts!

It is just a crazy thought to me that Josh is really in scouts!
Last week was the pinewood derby and he won for the most UNIQUE car.
He also received his bobcat patch, pin and his bowling belt loop. Here he is trying to put the pin on me. :)

Working on the car....
Now adding stickers..... and getting ready to have it weighed.

The race is on.... I'm not sure who had more fun, Mike or Joshua?

Yahoo.....Paddle Tires

For Easter Josh received paddle tires for his traxxas. He couldn't have been more excited! Here are the boys gluing the rims in the tires.

SWEET!

Testing the tires out in the dirt.

What's Joshua going to do when I make this a garden? :)

What do you think Jared and JB?
Joshua blew up the motor after this run.
What an expensive hobby.

Resurrection Rolls

After church I did this little activity with the kids. My mom told me about it and it was much easier than the one I was going to do. It was found on Sugardoodle!

The crescent roll represents the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in. The marshmallow represents Jesus. The butter represents the oils of embalming and the cinnamon and sugar represent the spices used to anoint the body. We dipped the marshmallow in the butter, then the cinnamon sugar and wrapped the marshmallow tightly inside the crescent roll. Then we baked it for 10 minutes. The oven represents the tomb.

After the rolls cooled, we opened then up to discover that Jesus is no longer there. He is risen.

This gave me a good chance to talk to the kids about the true meaning of Easter and we had a great time doing an activity together.

Easter Extravaganza!

HAPPY EASTER! THANKS FOR THE OUTFITS NANA AND PAPA! WE LOVE THEM!
THE KIDS WERE VERY EXCITED TO GET MAIL!
COLORING EASTER EGGS!

EASTER MORNING....
COULDN'T WAIT TO TEAR INTO THEIR BASKETS

EASTER ENDED WITH A WONDERFUL FAMILY DINNER AT AUNT JONIE'S HOUSE AND THEN ANOTHER EASTER EGG HUNT!

Since the weather put a damper on our plans to go to the Sand Dunes for Easter,we decided to take the kids on a day ride to 5 mile pass instead. It was still a little cold, but the kids really wanted to go riding. Hailey got a new machine and has been dying to ride it and Josh has his ATV class this weekend to get his license, and needed to practice a few things. We went with some friends and had a great time.

Hailey on her new 4-wheeler.
Now she has to learn to shift and use a clutch.
She's learning quickly.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

SICK! GROSS! WHAT? HOW DID THAT GET IN THERE? AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Mike came into the kitchen and said, "You don't even want to know what I just found in the tub!" I thought it must be a huge spider. I never expected a MOUSE to be in my tub!!
When Mike tried to catch it, it ran to the drain and got stuck! Mike thought he was going to pull off its tail trying to get it out!! I'm just glad there is a man in the house that can accomplish this task because Hailey and I were totally grossed out!

Finally......
Definitely not as cute as the movie Ratatouille, or Ralph the Mouse on the motorcycle.

Hailey didn't think it would be very nice just to throw it in the garbage, so they took it to a field and let it go. Just hope it doesn't find it's way back.
