Off to Denver

Mike and I were able to enjoy a getaway this past weekend.
His work sent us to Denver!
We are sooooo not into sports, but it was definitely awesome to watch a pro game. We flew out Saturday morning and went to the Colorado Rockies vs. the L.A. Dodgers baseball game that night.
Mike had no idea that he got this game play on the jumbo tron. That was probably the most excitement of the whole game. :)

Here we are at Coors Field.

(The Colorado Rockies lost and we got rained on, but still had a great time)

On Sunday we went to the Denver Broncos vs. The San Diego Chargers game!

The field says USA, but it was facing the other direction. The stadium seats 76,000 people and only 900 seats were NOT filled! The place was packed!!!

Even though we are not into sports, we found ourselves screaming, cheering, shaking our pom poms and high fiving people we didn't even know. :)
Outside Invesco Field after the game ended.

Broncos 39 Chargers 38!!
There are some true fans!!!!
We got the kids each a Denver shirt and the pom poms are from the football game.

This is how crazy the game got. Denver had 20 second left and down by 1 point. Instead of kicking a field goal to tie the game, they went for the 2 points and won by 1 point. I know there is a technical term for that, but I don't know what it is.

We couldn't do these trips without family around to help with the kids.

A big THANKS to Aunt Joni and Cal & Ann for helping with the 3 musketeers and Brad and Kristy for taking our dog.

Labor Day Weekend!

I can't believe it's already September! We had one more long weekend at the lake, before we close it up for the winter. We spend most of Friday and all day Saturday trying to get every last skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, and air chairing time in. Ty found his favorite seat and Carter was the spotter.

Saturday night, the storm came. We all piled in for a night of cards and a wii party!!

I wish the video was lighter, but if I did anything that made Carter notice I was videoing, I wouldn't have captured him rocking out!! Notice his left hand trying to push all the buttons.

This is the kids knee boarding. Hailey, Joshua and Danielle. They could do this all day! We had to tell them it was time for somebody else to do something.

What a fun weekend. The next time I blog something from Bear Lake, it will be SNOWMOBILING! Where did the summer go?
