Dance Competition!

Go Hailey!!
This past weekend we headed down to St. George for Hailey's dance competition. Her team did a great job! Hailey was so excited. She not only received 1 trophy, but 2!! One for Jazz and one for Lyrical.
The girls on her team. The fantastic 4!
This was Hailey stretching before she performed.
After the competition, we met up with our neighbors and partied at Bajio!! YUM, YUM!! That's my kids new favorite place.
Getting a little silly...Who spiked the pop?
We were lucky enough to stay at our friends house in Hurricane. There was a wonderful club house with swimming and tennis. We really enjoyed ourselves!

My kids have never played tennis, let alone pick up a racket. They had so much fun. Now they all want to take lessons. Carter keeps asking when he can go do tennising again. :)
There was even a baby court for Carter. It was perfect!

It was so nice to get away where it was warm and sunny!

VEGAS!!

Since Hailey danced on Friday, that left Saturday wondering what we should do. We decided VEGAS!! Our first stop was the Stratosphere! Are we crazy?? YES!!! WE ARE!!!

Josh getting ready to ride the BIG SHOT! It shoots you 160 feet in the air at 45 mph and you are 1,081 ft above the ground! SCARY!!! He was a little pale after that ride, but said he would do it again.

The INSANITY ride! A perfect name for this ride. This is the one Hailey chose to go on. She didn't think it looked as scary as the big shot that Josh went on. REALLY??? How did I get stuck going on this with her? I SCREAMED, and SCREAMED some more! Hailey was yelling at me to open my eyes, but I just couldn't! I deeply HATED this ride. It extends you 65 ft over the hotel and then starts to spin. But then as it spins, it opens up so you are looking down at the itty bitty cars! Stomach was in my throat and I was as pale as a ghost. NEVER Again! You never want to admit that you are getting old and can't handle things like this anymore, but I'm afraid I am. Carter said, "it is hard being little. The only ride I got to go on was the elevator."

After the rides, we walked the strip and checked out the inside of some hotels. I had forgotten how incredible they are.

We ended the night with the dancing water show at Bellagio.

Sledding & Snowmobiling

Not very many more days left to do this!!
We went with our neighbors a few weeks ago up to Strawberry and can't wait to do it again! The kids had a blast! What better way to go sledding when you don't have to walk up the hill. Just sit and wait for the snowmobile to pick you up and take you back to the top of the mountain. Which helps the kids not get tired. Not sure that's a good thing. They could have stayed longer.

Here is Mike and Carter going for a ride.

And Josh wonders why he gets cold....funny kid!
The girls just having a great time playing in the snow.
Hey Kathy,
We are going to have to make this a tradition and do this every year!

New Moon Continued....

What was I thinking when I told Hailey she could have a
NEW MOON PARTY????
She spent most of the afternoon decorating and getting things set up.
Team EDWARD?
or
Team JACOB?

The girls hanging and eating munchies....Are they having fun? or are they giving me the serious VAMPIRE look?

Watching TWILIGHT...

Getting ready to go to Walmart to see the crazies and apparently join them!!
Face painting...The warewolf paw...Team Jacob!!
Even Carter got his face painted! The next day he went to soccer and the kids all ran up to him asking where he got his face painted. "Walmart at the New Moon party" was his reply!:) Those little kids had no idea what he was talking about. But, Carter loved it and they all thought it was cool too.

We got home from walmart at 1:00, watched new moon and fell asleep around 4am. We had to get up at 7 for dance competition and soccer games, but we survived. Hailey got a Team Jacob t-shirt and the new DVD. Life is good!

long over due--

Joshua had his birthday almost a month ago, and I'm just getting around to blogging it.
My pictures are not in order, but at least I'm getting this done... right?

He got an early birthday present from Nana, when she came to watch the kids for a week. (thanks again for doing that!)

We went to a place called Jump On It. It's full of trampolines. I have to wear a coat inside because it's freezing, but the kids are sweating and standing in front of the fans to cool off. They really had a lot of fun.
Joshua's buddy Conner...
and his friend Tanner.

Jared and Natalie gave Josh a year subscription to car action. A perfect gift for his traxxas. (I think Mike loved it just as much)

The family birthday party and the must have chocolate e-claire cake!!
I really felt bad that Josh got sick on his birthday! That doesn't make for a very fun party! When the Tylenol finally kicked in, he opened his presents, but not until 9 o'clock that night.

Josh is one fantastic kid! He is very tender hearted and caring. We love his big hugs and the great back scratches he gives. He is turning into quit the soccer player. He loves to play with his friends, play the guitar, dance, drive his traxxas, tell jokes, and his sister likes to use his brain for math. :) We LOVE YOU Josh!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

When the little leprachaun went to my sister-in-laws house, my kids asked how come the leprachaun didn't come here. Well, this year it did :) They followed his foot steps til they reached the pot of GOLD!!

Everything "GREEN".... which even included "GREEN" waffles! MMMMMM, or NOT! The kids weren't sure if they wanted to eat green waffles. Just wait til they see what I have planned for dinner!!!! :)

When Carter got home from school and wanted a drink of milk, I told him to get it out of the fridge. His reaction was like.... what? The Leprachaun turned our milk "GREEN" too. (Love how he is folding his arms... like you have got to be kidding me!)
When Carter got home from preschool he couldn't wait to tell me they went on a "hunt" looking for the leprachaun. They had to be really quiet and sneaky, but they found him and his pot of GOLD and then got a treat. I love it when they are still little and are just in AWWWW over everything. Makes it more fun!
