Lake Powell

This is our first camping trip in a TENT!
It worked out great.
In the end, I did miss my trailer with a shower
and a potty, but I survived. :)
Everyone in the tube...even the dog!

I left my flip flops on the beach and when we got back we noticed that they were warped because of the heat. It was so hot!!

We found a rope hanging off of this cliff. They decided to CLIFF JUMP! First they started off down low...
Mike
Hailey
Then Tiffani talked Mike into climbing higher! I tease him that he's getting old, but he is still young at heart.
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! He did it! And so did Tiffani!
Hailey knee boarding. Check out the look on her face.
Then there is Josh. Oh ya, Look at me! I'm Cool!
Even Carter decided he wanted to try knee boarding! Way to go! I was so proud of him!
Mike on the air chair...
Hailey and Josh both learned to wake board on this trip! That made it all worth it!
They say that they like it better than skiing.

Some of the gang playing in the water. We just didn't want it to end.
Having 100 degree weather and the water at 80... is PERFECT!
Hopefully we can make this a yearly trip.

Random Pictures...

We are enjoying our summer and the kids love playing outside.

Carter and his friend Bryce.
It's so nice that Josh can help mow the lawn now! We LOVE the extra help!
Josh actually got braces this summer. We use to tell him that he has pumpkin teeth, but not anymore. The gaps are already closing. Before braces....
I actually went to school with Dr. Elison, so it's kind of fun to see him working on Josh.
After braces...

Dance Recital!

Dance recital was of course on the same night as Carter's preschool graduation. Isn't that how it usually happens...
Hailey does Hip Hop & Lyrical
Josh also does Hip Hop
With Grandpa and Grandma

With Nana and GG. So nice that they came from Idaho to see this. (They were also here for Carter's graduation, but I didn't get a picture of them with him. )
4 generation picture...
Mom and I left Carter with GG for a couple hours while we did some shopping. It gave Carter a chance to get to know his great grandma! They had a fun time playing with play-doh!
We stopped at Apollo Burger to eat lunch before they headed back to Idaho. It was a quick trip, but so much fun to see them. Thank You for coming! We love you!

Pre-school Graduation!

Way to go Carter!
Preschool graduation is a big deal!
I can't believe you will be going to kindergarten this fall.

Carter and his teacher Ms. Whitney

This is what she wrote about him:
Carter is a cute boy! His shy, energetic personality is liked by everyone. He interacts well with others. I have seen great progress with Carter this year. He is such a great student. He raises his hands to answer questions, he helps others and he follows directions very well. Carter will do great next year in Kindergarten. I will miss him very much.

Sand Dunes/Memorial Weekend

We had a great time camping at the Sand Dunes.
Check out the checkered tarp that my parents gave Mike for his birthday!
We think it looks great. Thank You!

Our friends that we went camping with have a little Honda 50. Oh, Great! Another toy my boys want! Here is Carter making Mike chase him all around camp. Who says he doesn't exercise? :)
Now it's Joshua's turn to ride it.
and then Hailey.
WOW JOSH! You be careful! He flew off this jump. Did he plan this? Don't think so.
Then Josh had to take his traxxas on the same jump. It caught good air too.
The kids really kept themselves busy with this tree. They climbed it, decorated it and made it their treehouse!

It's amazing that this hole kept these boys so busy. They got tired of jumping in and out, that they finally just relaxed for a minute.
Playing baseball....
then horseshoes...
While we were in the trailer eating lunch, the wind blew our chair into the fire. Who would leave their chair so close to the fire? Mike? ha ha.. :) This is what it looked like after we found it.
You were a great chair. May you R.I.P. I don't even want to mention that the trip before this, our other chair got blown into the fire too. But, it didn't get burned this bad. Will we ever learn to not leave our chairs by the fire?

The Heatons!

We had a nice little visit from my brother and his family as they were passing through. We don't get to see them often, but love it when we do.

Carter and Lexi are just the cutest when they are together. They like to walk around holding hands. Wish we could see them more often.
Hailey tried to keep up with Logan. Little busy bum! He didn't slow down the whole time!

Logan giving Ty some doggie treats.
I think this is the real reason they stopped by. Jared got a traxxas T-maxx truck. He needed to compare it with Joshua's traxxas slash. Boys will be boys!
The race is on....
