WITCHES FEET!

I just wanted to share the witches feet that Hailey made for her teachers. I think they turned out very cute. Make the shoe and fill with candy. What a fun idea. We found the template on Sugar Doodle under visiting teaching messages for October.

Off to California.

The kids were so excited to go to Disneyland! I think next time I won't tell them so far in advance. Hailey and Josh were so excited and Carter kept asking me how many more sleeps.

The Nemo ride was one of Carters favorite.

Peeking out the window at all the fish.

Can you believe this picture! This was on Space Mountain. Mike was in front of us taking pictures. Poor Carter! He really was scared! This ride he did NOT like!! He was sure a trooper. He went on every ride with us. Even Tower of Terror.

In front of the giant mickey mouse pumpkin! The decorations at Disneyland during Halloween was incredible! The firework shows at night were amazing and the night show where Mickey fights evil was just spectacular. I've never seen anything so cool. Of course, the boys were totally exhausted from walking around all day that they fell asleep and missed everything. Maybe thats why I enjoyed it so much. :) I didn't have kids climbing all over me.

The entrance to Disneyland at night....

One of their favorite things to do was collect pins. You can trade any pin with a worker if they don't have the same one. There are also workers who wear a certain color that can only trade with kids 12 and under. While we were in a gift shop, a lady asked Hailey if she would trade one of her pins for her since it was a worker who could only trade with kids. Then the lady gave Hailey two princess pins for helping her out. Who got the better end of that bargain?

We bought a book where all the characters can sign their name. We tried to get as many as we could.

Our favorite ride was California Screamin.

We had the best trip! Being with family and seeing my kids faces light up at new experiences.

Newport Beach!

Our last day we spent at the Newport Beach. I wish it would've been warmer, but that didn't stop the kids from getting wet. They couldn't believe how big the waves were. Jumping the waves were awesome until Josh tasted the salt water.

We walked along the pier which totally grossed the kids out. So many people were fishing and there were piles of fish in buckets. SICK!

We also saw dolphins and a seal in the ocean.

CANNED SALSA!!
MMMM.....
This is just from one picking of my garden. I couldn't let my tomatoes go to waste, so my friend taught me how to can salsa. Thanks Kathy!! IT'S DELICIOUS! We've already eaten 2 jars!!
Just call me Martha!! :) Not really!! This recipe is all canned items except the tomatoes! Kathy and I tease each other that we're not Martha, we're Betty Crocker!! So, I guess I'm really a Betty!

I've also made many loaves of zucchini bread.

MMMM good!

The Ringling Brothers Circus!
The Greatest Show On Earth!
We had so much fun with our neighbors at the circus!
You can get cotton candy for $10 and get these very COOL hats. :)
What a bargain????

Brooke, Hailey, Conner and Josh.
The circus itself was pretty amazing! The kids loved watching the dogs do tricks, horses, elephants, tigers, people getting shot out of a "gun" as Carter says, and all the Aerobatic stunts.
I found out that I need to teach Carter his animals. When the horses came out he asked when they were going to "MOO"!

After the show, we rode trax to Mike's work and watched the news.
Then we were off to dinner and back to our house to roast smores!
What a great time!

The Living Planet Aquarium
We had a great time looking at the coral reef... jelly fishes, octopus, eels and much more.
Their favorite part was touching the sting rays.
Carter using the magnifying glass to check out the star fish.
The shark tank!
Maybe our next trip will have to be Sea World!
