TWILIGHT FEVER!

The BIG NIGHT finally came!! This is all Hailey and her friends have been talking about! As I dropped Hailey off to her friends house to have a TWILIGHT party, the excitement in the girls was unbelievable. Her friends mom had decorated the house with black & red crepe paper, apples on the table and the soundtrack playing on her I-pod! How FUN is that!!!!! I kind of wanted to stay myself. :) I caught up with the girls at Wal-mart. The moms waited in the line to get Victoria's autograph and the girls went and got their faces painted.Is 3 HOURS worth a scribble mark across your video? Can you see it on the picture above just under the T? I could not believe the people there. The parking lot was jammed full, the store was even worse and the line to get an autograph wrapped around the store. It was amazing.

The girls went back to the party and watched Twilight twice and didn't go to bed until 5:30 in the morning. Hailey had a great time. This meant everything to those girls. Of course, Hailey lost her voice from screaming and got sick from no sleep. Will we do this again? YOU BET!!

NO TRAINING WHEELS!!

Carter is one determined kid. The conversation went something like this.....

Carter: Can you take the training wheels off my bike?

Dad: No!

Carter: How come?

Dad: Because if I do, you won't be able to ride your bike anymore.

Carter: Yes I can!! I'm big now. Remember I'm 4!

This happened on Sunday, and before bed he was crying about it.

Monday....

The same conversation happened between Mom & Carter. He started driving me crazy about wanting them off so bad, that I said, "Fine!! But you won't be able to ride your bike w/o your training wheels."

Carter: YOU Can take my training wheels off? (I guess he thought it was just a dad thing) To his surprise Moms can do "daddy" tasks. The training wheels came off and Carter was soooo happy!

"Ok Carter..... Let's see if you can ride your bike? "

I helped him a couple of times before I got tired of running up and down the street. ( I'm way out of shape :))

Then I told him he had to wait until I helped the kids with homework and then I had to take Hailey to dance. He didn't stop trying and when I got back from dance to help him, this is what I saw.......

I guess he really knew he could ride his bike w/o training wheels. I'm sorry Carter that I didn't believe you! WAY TO GO!!

GR-8 to be 8!

Finally!! Joshua's baptism!

Seriously..... He's 8 already! I can't believe it.

It was a very good day!

Joshua was baptized on February 28th, 2009.

I want to thank all our family and friends who came!

It meant a lot to have you all there.

But we missed those who couldn't be here....

like my brothers and their families! :)

The day of anticipation for CJ.

I thought this was a very fun idea! As we all walked in the door we had to write on a sticky note where we thought CJ was going to go on his mission. Did anybody guess it right?

CJ got his mission call to Manchester England! We are so excited for him! He is leaving in June, so the boys are planning some "fun times" before he leaves.

Good Luck CJ! We are going to miss you!

Joshua's Birthday Bash!

Joshua was very surprised to get a rip stick! I just didn't know what to do for his birthday, and this is the new thing all the kids are riding to school. Now all he has to do is learn how to ride it. Hope it's not one more thing our kids are going to use and fall down and break a bone.

For Joshua's birthday party we went BOWLING!!
It was a lot of fun. I didn't know it was a requirement for SCOUTS!
SCOUTS!!! YIKES! At least HE's excited about it. :)

HOLY COW ! MORE BAKUGAN's! It was quite funny! Everyone
of his friends gave him some bakugan's! That tells you how they ALL love them.
Even though on the way to bowling, his friends told
him what they were giving him, but to ACT SURPRISED anyway!
I think he did a very good job at that. :)

WOW!!! Carter actually played SOCCER this weekend.

I don't know if it was the bribery of paying him money, or telling him he couldn't have the treats unless he played. What a mean mom I am!! But, when it was over he did say he had SOOO much fun.

I was so amazed that he was actually playing, we took 9 videos of him. In this video he kicked the ball 3 times!!

We were proud to be his parents this weekend and happy that we weren't totally humiliated this time. :)

What more can I say? Carter has been talking non stop about playing soccer when he turns 4! Well, he turned 4 and THIS is what I get. We just couldn't believe it. He chases the soccer ball all over the backyard with Josh. But to not even MOVE? And almost getting ran over by both teams? Is this called stage freight? I'll let you know if this weekend goes better.

UPS?

My sister-in-law posted about her UPS guy leaving her package almost on the sidewalk. He couldn't walk over the patch of snow and ice to place it on her doorstep. It was very funny. I vented that my UPS guy leaves my packages under my door mat and it makes me so angry. Isn't it more obvious that there is a package there? Also, the dirt from my mat gets all over my boxes. Well, guess what? I got home from my errands today and this is what I found.......
