Winter Wonderland!

This is what we woke up to this morning!!
Yikes! Winter is here!
So happy that my husband put the Christmas lights up last weekend! Thank You Sweetie! :)
Mike mentioned that snowblowing is NOT as fun as it use to be.
Especially when it takes 3 hours!

The kids were so excited to finally play in the snow again. (But, I'm not looking forward to all the mess of wet winter clothes laying around my laundry room.) The snow was so deep that Ty was hoping like a deer through it. He came in with snowballs stuck all over him.

Even after 3 hours of snowblowing, Mike still made the kids a sledding hill. What a nice dad!

Trip to California...

In October Mike's work asked if he could go to California for the Charger vs. Patriots game with some clients. Well, us being the sports fanatics that we are....immediately said YES!
Who are the Chargers and the Patriots? :)
We didn't care, we just wanted to get away for the weekend. We had all day Saturday to do what we wanted, so we decided to go to Sea World. Kind of felt guilty that we didn't have the kids with us.

At the game....
...with 69,000 of our closest friends. ha ha

While we were in San Diego, my parents took the kids to Idaho. They had a great time with Nana and Papa. They took them to Red Robbin where they got their faces painted.Stopped by and visited GG

And saw Grandma Heaton too.My kids get spoiled when they go to Idaho. Stay up late, make rolls and cookies, visit family, go out to eat, watch movies, what's not to love.

Day Ride!

About a month ago, we decided it was such a beautiful day we should head to the sand dunes for the day. We got to the top of our favorite bowl and ran into Adam there. Who would've thought? He was there with his brother and some friends who happen to have a razor. Mike couldn't resist when they said, take it for a ride.

Going around the bowl! SWEET!
I have to admit, it was fun.

Carter and Jaxson doing what they like to do best...diggin in the dirt.

Hailey has a thing for climbing trees.
We had a great time going as a family and being together. I don't know why I didn't end up with a picture of Josh, but he learned to ride Mike's machine... shifting and everything.
My kids are growing up way to fast.

Volleyball!!

This is what has kept me EXTREMELY busy this fall. At the charter school they would like you to volunteer 35 hours a year. Well, I definitely exceeded 35 hours in 2 months!! When I found out that they were going to have a volleyball team, I contacted the Sport Director and asked if I could volunteer. What a great way to get my volunteer hours in, by doing something I love!

The team consisted of 7th, 8th, & 9th graders. I feel like the team improved so much. Towards the end of the season, they were actually doing bump, set, spike instead of just a bump over the net.

I want to thank my family for the letting me participate in this. I had to be at the school from 3:30-5 every day, plus games. It was a very crazy and hectic schedule at times! My kids still had to be at their activities too...piano, dance, karate, scouts, soccer, and making sure homework was done!!! PHEW!
But, I did have a great time. It's kind of fun to be called Coach S! :)

Last trip...to winterize!

You know Bear Lake season is over when it's time to winterize the trailer. We were entertained by teaching Cal and Ann how to bowl on the wii. Is his tongue helping him concentrate?

Ann's turn. She knows how to do the approach...now, if she could just figure out how to release the button. :)

Surprisingly the weather was beautiful for it being October. But not warm enough to actually swim.
We enjoyed throwing the frisbee around. Carter still pushing the dump truck everywhere he goes!

Mike tormenting the dog....again!
The boys were entertained by getting buried!

And Ty is King of the Mountain!!
