CATCH UP!!!

This is the speedy way of trying to catch up
on what has been going on the last month.

Look how cute Daija's belly is!! Her mom gave her a baby shower where she got stocked up on all the baby necessities!! My mom, Hailey, Becca and I all went. The next time we see them, they will be parents! The due date is October 12th and IT'S A BOY! We're all very excited.

Who's belly is bigger?

I just can't believe it!
HAILEY IS 10!
I took her and a couple of her friends to the salon
and got their toes painted. How grown up is that?
Thanks to everyone who sent her cards and gifts!
Lizzie, Hailey and Maddie.....B/F/F

Hailey got the Hannah Montana 3-D movie/concert.
The morning after the sleepover!

This is our cousin party!
This is something we look forward
to every year! Mikes cousin, Bart, and his wife Sue, are
wonderful host. They have the perfect set-up with a
basketball court, sand volleyball, swimming pool and an awesome game room.
Volleyball is the game of choice!
The Stringhams vs. The Romneys
A few years ago the Romneys bought a trophy, and which ever
team wins, gets to take the trophy home until the next years re-match.
I had the trophy this past year, but wasn't able to keep it
with the Stringhams. Yep, that's right....the Romneys won!
How could that happen? We still can't believe it.

This picture is the cheerleaders and the score keepers!

The Romneys had shirts made that said...
KICK BARTS VOLLEYBALLS
(since he is the trash talker)
So, last year Sue came up with the Stringham shirts.....
STRINGHAM UP BY THEIR VOLLEYBALLS!
...which didn't come true this year. :(

After volleyball and some delicious food, it's time for the game...
"CRAP" ON YOUR COUSIN.
More trash talking, candy, and lots of laughter!
Thanks for the fun time!

The first day of school.
Hailey......5th grade

Joshua.....2nd grade!
The saying on his shirt says it all....
YOUR WASTING MY ENERGY.
That's pretty much how he feels about school!

I think I have a future volleyball player on my hands!
I've been practicing with Hailey and she's interested
in a volleyball camp. That makes mom happy! :)

Josh found this airplane in Grandmas closet.
We took it down to the beach and to the park.
Josh played with it all day.

While we were at Bear Lake, we decided to take the
kids to the Minnetonka Caves. It's only 40 degrees, and the
kids thought it was very cool.
444 stairs going down and 444 stairs going up.
Carter actually did most of the hike by himself.
At the very end of the tunnel the guide turned off the lights!
It's the only place that in the world, besides the bottom of the ocean,
where it's total darkness and you can't even see your
hand in front of your face.

We met my mom and dad at Lagoon!!
It made me laugh how excited my mom was.
She came totally prepared to take care of all of us.
A cooler with drinks and sandwiches and a whole bunch of munchies!!
I couldn't believe even my dad went on some rides...Wicked....which he thought was pretty cool, but the Colossus did him in. I asked him if this was the same dad I grew up with??? :)

When I got home and looked at the pictures I took, they were mostly all of Carter! It was his first time at Lagoon, and loved every minute of it.

This is the first year I have done a garden and it is out of control!!!
I can't even find some of things I've planted.
The kids love to go out when we get back from Bear Lake
and we are always so amazed how much it has grown.

This picture is from last month, now my garden is growing over my pathway!!

My sister-in-law told me that zucchini's aren't suppose to get
this big. I'm suppose to harvest them sooner.
What? I thought I had the biggest zucchinis ever!
Then she tells me that when my cucumbers go white,
that means I didn't harvest them soon enough either!
What? Apparently I need a lesson in gardening!
Thanks Daija!!! :) love ya anyway!

Ty graduated from doggie school!
I know that sounds kind of funny huh?
But, he is potty trained and can sit stay and down stay.
Now we are working on shaking. The kids have grown very attached to him.
It was good for the kids to learn how to train a dog and things you shouldn't do to him.

The dog trainer...Amber!

That's it in a nutshell!

A LITTLE BIT OF FREEDOM!!

One more week and all my kids will be in school! I can't believe it! I'm going to get a little bit of freedom!! What will I do? :)

On Monday there was an orientation at Carters school. It wasn't until 2:00p and all morning Carter kept asking me if it was time to go yet. Well, at 1:45 I told the kids to start getting ready by putting on their shoes and getting in the car. Carter couldn't wait any longer!! He was in the car honking for all of us to hurry up! We were only there for 20 minutes and then left. Have you ever had a kid who cried when they had to leave school? He was not ready to go and wanted to stay longer. I wonder how long this will last.

Thursday was his first day of school. He got right up and got dressed! What he put on wasn't exactly what I wanted him to wear to school, so I was trying to convince him to put something else on. He kept saying, "I don't think Miss Heidi will like that. I want to wear this." I couldn't convince him, so he got his way.

The rest of the morning this is what I heard. "Is it time yet? Is it time yet? " Do you know how hard it is to wait until 12:15 to leave. I asked him if he wanted me to take him in to his class or just drop him off like I do Hailey and Josh. He said, "drop me off and leave me for a long time." What a difference between the first child and the last. With Hailey, I was crying and she was crying and everything was awful. But with Carter, it was like..... see ya!!

After I picked him up he was a little sad. The teacher said at the end of the day during singing time, he got poked in the eye. :(

That's why his eyes are red and his nose is running in this video.

I hope he's going to want to go back.

"SCENTSY SPIRIT"

I just got back from Scentsy Convention!! What a blast! The training and motivation was amazing. Not to mention the free stuff which was fun and exciting and the friendships that I made are enduring and will last a lifetime. The opportunity to experience "Scentsy Spirit" with a thousand people from all over the United States was thoroughly energizing.

This is the CEO of Scentsy....Orville Thompson. He makes fun of his name, but he is truly so genuine. Kind of looks like Garth Brooks to me. I was able to get my picture with him after the awards banquet dinner. A girl from the team, Dayna, won a free trip with him and his wife Heidi, and she gets to choose where she wants to go! We were shocked! We had to evaluate each class that we went to and put it in a box and they pulled her name out. WAY TO GO DAYNA!

They introduced a new line.....plug-ins! We are so excited! It works perfect in a bathroom!!

There was a family picnic at the park. They had inflatable jumpalines for the kids, along with games and giveaway. This game you had to go barefoot in the ice and pick up scentsy cubes with your toes. We all won $5 to the Scentsy Success store. :) They passed out purple "Scentsy Spirit" bracelets and if you were wearing it, every time you sat down you had to yell out "Scentsy spirit"!! If you didn't you got your bracelet taken away. That was a fun game. Every where you go you hear "Scentsy Spirit". Even in the girls bathroom!! :)

After the picnic, we decided we needed to go see Mama Mia!! The movie had the captions on the bottom of the screen, so you can imagine our excitement! We sang every song and danced in our seats! They ladies behind us said we made the movie fun. Hopefully they weren't really annoyed by us. What a fun time! We decided we needed the soundtrack to make our drive home go more quickly.

This is an award Steph and I both got. It is the Scentsation Start Level 3 award!! Sell $5,000 in your first 60 days & you get $200 in product credit, a lapel pin, certificate of achievement, name in the monthly newsletter, recognized at convention and your name on the Scentsy Wall of Fame. Pretty cool huh.....

They passed out FREE stuff!!

We were also inspired and touched by Susan Ershler. She climbed the highest 7 peaks on 7 continents with her husband and team. She shared her success based on team work and setting goals.

Steph and I at the awards banquet dinner.

All the people from the team.

We took a tour of the warehouse and here is my name on the Scentsy Wall of Fame. Seeing Scentsy behind the scenes was amazing. They have a 42,000 square-foot facility and have plans to expand it to 75,000 square feet to keep up with the pace of Scentsy's phenomenal growth.

Convention next year is in Salt Lake so I hope I can have more of my team there to share this wonderful experience with.

BEAR LAKE WITH MOM AND DAD!!

I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WHEN MOM TOLD ME DAD TOOK 2 DAYS OFF OF WORK TO GO TO BEAR LAKE. COME TO FIND OUT IDONNA, DADS SECRETARY, WAS GOING ON VACATION AND THAT MEANT MOM HAD TO WORK THE FRONT DEST. SO, INSTEAD OF DOING THAT SHE TOLD HIM HE WAS GOING TO TAKE THOSE DAYS OFF TOO. WE KNOW WHO WEARS THE PANTS IN THE FAMILY!!
WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! WE SHOWED THEM HOW TO PLAY REAL HARD.
MOMS FAVORITE THING TO DO NOW IS GO FOR A TUBE RIDE! SHE SAID IT IS BETTER THAN ANY RIDE AT LAGOON. AT FIRST MIKE GAVE HER A NICE LITTLE RIDE AND THEN SAID, "DON, CAN I THROW HER OUTSIDE THE WAKE?" "SURE" WAS DADS REPLY....

AND THE REST IS HISTORY!

DAD TRIED TO FIT INTO JOSHUA'S LIFE JACKET!

ANOTHER FUN WEEKEND HAD BY ALL!

4th of July!

I had to change the background
to go along with our summer at Bear Lake!!!!! :)

It was a weekend full of excitement, adventure,
cousins having sleep overs, staying up late, Wii parties
and a crowd of people!!

We hated to see this weekend go by so fast......

Having fun on the tube!

Joshua skiing for the first time and I'm actually wake boarding!!

Thursday was a gorgeous day out on the lake! The water is actually 69 degrees! We couldn't believe it! Yes, that is warm for Bear Lake! We played in the lake from 1-7p. Uncle Cal helped Joshua ski! He got up on his second try! We were all cheering him on! Hailey had to take it easy since she just got her cast off, but hopefully the next time she can do it! Friday we decided to pack a lunch and go on the 4-wheelers! There were 22 people and 16 4-wheelers. We went 32 miles and it took 4 hours! We had a great time! When we were done we cooled off in the pool and had a game of keep away! Saturday was spent at the beach! Mike got up at 6 am to launch the boat so we could park in the marina. It's a good thing he did! It was packed with people! I don't know if he has ever seen 6 am before! That is just way to early for us! :) The afternoon got a little windy, so Mike and CJ decided to fly the kite! You won't believe what happened!! Mike got shot in the wrist! A kid was shooting his BB gun with a beach full of people! The dad apologized to Mike for his sons wrong doing, but still.....what if it hit him in the eye!
All in all a great time was had by all!

This hand shake my mom and Aunt Pam did when they were kids. It was passed on to me and now to Hailey. Hailey spent most of the day teaching Carlie. I could have videoed all day! We know a lot more fun hand shakes that Aunt Daija has taught us! :)

Grandpa King!

Before we left for Bear Lake, I took the kids to American Fork to visit Grandpa Kings grave. We placed a flag on Grandpa's grave, his military grave, his son Brent and his parents Naina King and Bazil Barney. I can't believe it has been 14 years! We miss him terribly!! Carter is not in the picture because he was trying to find Grandpa. He couldn't understand why he couldn't "see" him. When I told the kids it was time to go, Carter said, "but I didn't see grandpa yet." Trying to explain this to him was more than I could handle.
